CREATIVE SUBMISSION RELEASE AGREEMENT

This Submission Release Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into as of the date of submission (the

“Effective Date”) by and between the individual submitting content (“Submitter” or “You”) and Joe Lington (Song-writer – Producer – performer ).

  1. SUBMISSION OF MATERIAL

Submitter is voluntarily providing a personal story, experience, narrative, or other written material (the”Story”) to the Artist for consideration for use in the creation of musical works, lyrics, and sound recordings (collectively, the “Works”).

2. OWNERSHIP AND COPYRIGHT

Submitter acknowledges and agrees that the Artist shall be the sole and exclusive owner of all rights, title,

and interest (including all copyrights) in and to the resulting Works (the song, melody, lyrics, and master recording). Submitter agrees that the creation of the Works is a “work made for hire” to the extent permitted by law. If the Works do not qualify as a work made for hire, Submitter hereby irrevocably assigns and transfers to Artist all right, title, and interest in and to the Works throughout the world in perpetuity.

3. WAIVER OF ROYALTIES AND COMPENSATION

Submitter understands that they are not a co-author, co-writer, or joint owner of the Works. Submitter hereby

waives any and all rights to royalties, fees, residuals, or any other form of financial compensation arising

from the commercial or non-commercial use of the Works, including but not limited to streaming, sales,  licensing, or public performance.

4. GRANT OF RIGHTS AND LICENSE

Submitter grants Artist a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, and irrevocable license to use,

adapt, edit, modify, and translate the Story into lyrics and music. Artist has the right to fictionalize or alter the Story for creative purposes.

5. RIGHT OF PUBLICITY

Artist may, but is not obligated to, use Submitter’s name, likeness, or pseudonym in connection with the promotion of the Works (e.g., “Inspired by a story from [Name]”). Submitter may request to remain anonymous at the time of submission.6. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES

Submitter represents and warrants that: (a) the Story is their own original work or life experience; (b) they

have the full right to share the Story; and (c) the Story does not infringe upon the rights of any third party, including privacy or intellectual property rights.

7. INDEMNIFICATION

Submitter agrees to indemnify and hold Artist harmless from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising out of a breach of the representations made in Section 6.

8. WAIVER OF MORAL RIGHTS

To the extent permitted by law, Submitter waives any “moral rights” or similar rights they may have in the Story as used within the Works. By checking the “I Agree” box on the submission form, Submitter confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.

By submitting your story, memory, or experience (the “Submission”) to [Your Name/Project Name] through this website, you agree to the following legally binding terms:

  1. Ownership of the Song: You acknowledge that Joe lington shall be the sole and exclusive owner of all rights, including copyright, in any musical work, lyrics, or sound recording (the “Song”) created based on or inspired by your Submission.

     

  2. No Royalties or Compensation: You understand and agree that you are providing your story voluntarily. You will not receive any money, royalties, co-writing credit, or ownership shares in the Song or the Master recording, regardless of how successful the Song becomes.

     

  3. Grant of License: You grant Joe lington  a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable license to adapt, edit, and transform your story into a musical composition. We may change details or fictionalize parts of the story for creative purposes.

     

  4. Privacy and Credit: * If you wish to remain anonymous, please indicate so in the form.

     

    • Otherwise, you grant us permission to mention that the song was “Inspired by a story from [Your Name]” in promotional materials or digital liner notes.

  5. Originality: You promise that the story is yours to tell and does not violate the privacy or copyrights of any third party including AI .

     

  6. Release of Liability: You release Joe lington  from any claims related to defamation, invasion of privacy, or right of publicity surrounding the use of the Submission.
